Account Hacked: Microsoft Gave Me Zero Opportunity To Fix It. Gone Forever?

My network is under a massive breach at the moment. I received a text from microsoft saying that my phone number was removed and to confirm if it were me who did this. I clicked this was not me - when I went to go through the password reset process it said my account did not exist - both email and phone number. I have done the ridiculous account recovery process only to be hit with the "unfortunately"... I provided the last four digits of cards I know that I have used and that are currently still on file for the hacker to get a free month of gamepass. This account is attached to my son's xbox account to play with his brother, a windows PC, and who knows what else?

There is absolutely zero way to contact microsoft in any sort of meaningful way. Right now there is a effing yahoo account attached to my account and I cannot reset it because they have to approve it.

Why the hell would Microsoft allow a hacker to take control of an account without any time to correct the issue? How am I getting denied from my request when my freaking xbox gamertag is a play on my last name - the last name associated with the damn email that was removed. This is unbelievable and I expect way more from a company I have been loyal to for years.

I currently work for a company who shells out thousands of dollars a month for Microsoft 365 Enterprise - after this I am going to consider we reevaluate our provider. Unbelievable.
