    How do I turn off audio description on my microsoft Movies & TV?


    I bought and downloaded a show from the Microsoft Store on my computer and there is Audio description playing on every episode. I turned Subtitles on and off and i switched the Audio from (Primary-Dolby Audio-6 Channel) to (Primary-AAC-2 Channel) and back and i am still hearing the Audio Description. How do i turn that off?

    Have you found a solutuon for this yet? I have the same problem, I bought a movie and it was fine... Bumped the controller on the floor and now audio description is on and i can't get it off, not even the agents in the help desk can figure it out. Frustrated

    Hi Jb,

    Check the language settings for the movie itself. If it is on English descriptive it will have the audio commentary. Select just English.

    Hi Brad , thanks for your reply. It's not director commentary it's audio description for visually impairment. The voice is describing everything, it's the first time I have encountered this on Microsoft movies.

    Hi there,

    if you are referring to subtitles (a.k.a. Closed captioning) try these steps:

    1. Select Settings.
    2. Select System.
    3. Select Console Settings.
    4. Select Display.
    5. Select Closed Captioning.
    6. Select Off.
    7. Save your settings and exit, then try watching your TV show or movie again.
