    Can't switch language for games in xbox pc game pass?


    I am trying to pick up some French by playing games that have French dubs and subs. I was made aware that in order to do this, for some reason you need to switch your entire Windows settings to the target language, which I did. I put French to the top of my list for preffered languages, and I switched my regional format setting to French.

    The Xbox app/store is now fully in French, but the games I am trying to play remain in English (Borderlands 3, Oblivion, Psychonauts).

    Xbox says their support is down currently... Anyone got any tips please? I even tried doing the repair and update file for the games in question, and that did nothing. Maybe I need to reinstall them entirely?

    language version

    Depends on the game, some you can't change at all, others like some UBi make will detect the language and locale you use on your Xbox. Try switching language and country on your console settings then load the game again.

    Thanks for the reply. so if I switch from Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta) which costs less and is oriented only to PC players, if I install a game from the catalog and this game also has multiplayer I cannot play multiplayer with

    Your system Region / Language, Microsoft store and profile Region/Language should be set to the location where you want to switch the Language to and then relaunch the game. I once had an issue where my friend installed a Language pack on my PC and that switched the Language of my games as well. So that's an angle you should explore.

    Hi

    I'm playing through the XBOX app on PC. Having the ultimate xbox game pass I can access Cloud Gaming.
    The trouble with AS Odyssey is that language other than default (english) probably requires downloading language files. Not sure xbox cloud allows it. Will it be possible one day ?
