Is my Xbox damaged?

So only a mere two days ago I had booted up my Xbox One X which I have had for 3-4 years now, when I started the Xbox and logged into my account the loading process by which would usually only take 4-5 seconds would take over 30 seconds with the entire device being extremely slow despite having a perfectly fine internet connection. The day prior to all of this would have completely different performance which would only stump me further as it has worked perfectly fine until the very next day.

The reason why I ask whether if it is damaged or not is because of how back then I used to have many anger issues which I'd have a habit of letting out on the device, usually slamming my fist against the top of the device though now it doesn't happen often at all.

I have already restarted my router and modem to check if it was the connection but to no avail. I would later switch devices thinking my TV was the problem but the same things would continue to happen. I have also restarted my Xbox multiple times only to see the same results every time. I cannot open any apps or games on my Xbox as it states that the Xbox is randomly running "Too slow" so now I am left asking, Is my Xbox damaged?

There were some issues recently were it was taking longer than usual to sign in & sometimes it would just tell you to sign in with a controller instead of automatically signing you in so that could of been the issue.

Was happening to me for a couple of days.

hi sorry i took so long to reply had no working computer for a while and to answer your questions

its plugged into a wall outlet instant on is turned of yes i have a external hard drive

it keeps coming on at random times still lol it did it at 3am today

Thanks for that info super gizzmo. To check, does this behavior still occur when you

change your Power Mode to Energy-Saving? Also, does your external hard drive connect to your Xbox One console via USB or does it have it's own power source?

hmm, the Xbox one is getting quite old but i dont understand why you would have preformance issues if the Xbox one x has better hardware than the series s. i would reccomend checking if it is getting hot and due to the Xbox one getting old, there might be thermal or update issues. is the xbox fully updated? add my xbox account so i can chat. ok ive tried difrent network and so far its not switched on by its sellf in 36 hours fingers crossed that's solved the issue
