Why is Remote play being region locked now? may 2025

This isn't Microsoft protectionism. You'll find Sony, Netflix,Steam, Amazon, and everyone else who runs digital stores selling other people's things are required to enforce copyright and regional rights

Dear Microsoft, why USF4 is region locked?

I live in Israel and I wanna play it... But it is locked to a specific regions.. now what??

But why is something that is available in BOTH regions and is identical being region locked? If I take the ACIII disc version to the USA it will work. Why not the digital version? If it is a rule then why not state this before purchasing. Not make me have
to look up some rules in some rights contract.

The point is ACIII should not be region locked from these two Countries. A lot of the other games aren't. Why is this one? Are all games on demand now going to be region locked? They weren't before. Was able to buy a bunch of games when in the US. But now
suddenly can't?

Also this isn't a case of not being able to buy it. It WAS bought. But it can't be downloaded because the regions don't match up because currently the console is not in the same location. How is this fair? They took the money... and wont give the product.
Pretty sure that is illegal.

That would be why dlc codes are all region locked to the region they were purchased in

Regional lock rules applies to dlc if the game requires a us address that would be why too mass effect may not have region locked but mass effect us codes can only be redeemed in a us account

The game may not be available in your region. Or it may be region locked. You may have to download it again using the proper region you're in now.
