Hi there, Xbox support doesn't have the capability of resetting your password on their end. That is one way of protecting your account. You can try to reset your password thru this link,
account.live.com/.../reset. If you have added your phone number, it will give you an option to send a code thru your mobile phone then you can reset your password or you can answer your secret
question, or send a Reset link to your alternate email address, if you don't have any of these 3 option, you can directly go to this link to recover your account. account.live.com/acsr

Once you are already on the page, Enter an email address where that can best contact you and the Microsoft Account you need to recover then fill out your information to validate your account. once the account will be validated, you will receive and email
to reset your password.

The best thing I would suggest you to do is to add a phone number or an alternative email address on the accounts. It can be your phone number and email. This way if you forget the kid account email address or password, you can use your phone or email to receive a reset link and will not even need the recovery form.

And again the part when u need a verify, they give a code, but the option are only for phone number, and that phone number is gone, theres no option for giving the code to email, idk why so weird, when i want to reset password they always sent it to the same email or phone number, but my only option for phone number.

The account needs 2 validated proofs which would be an email address and phone number. MS will not store your number for 3rd parties but for validation so you should not have any problem to give the phone number.

yep to add to this because people do forget the password at sometimes

you can register the valid email at login.live.com or any live website

create a new account and use existing account (a valid one please) because if you ever need to reset the password its easier if the email was still active

(you can also update the contact email please keep that upto date if you make a habbit of changing emails)

also set a secret question secret answer and a trust pc or mobile phone number for reset proccess (i'd do all 3 personally lol)

this is important

when registering the gamertag please USE REAL INFO

some people make random characters and if you ever have to call xbox for help it would help if your info matches what they have on file
