Can someone help me , my son is trying to sign in to his account but no longer has the mobile or email that he started x box one with. I put in my micro soft name and says that is wrong too, can someone HELP ME

My son has had the same thing happen to him. His account has been hacked in the early hours of the morning and he has woken to a series of changes on his account. His account email address has been changed ( so technically he has no account), passwords reset, family deleted and all his security changed. He cannot use the recover password as the email is no longer valid on the account. We cannot contact customer services either as its all fully automated and there is no option for our situation? Have you managed to get anywhere yet?

So the old xbox one needs to be the home box. But he can still use his Microsoft account on it not my others sons account?

even if the email account no longer exists, the email address should still work as the sign in for his Microsoft/Xbox account (as long as he can remember his password for Microsoft/Xbox)

if he doesn't remember the password then he can recover/change his password by following the guide in this link

then once he has done that he can change the email address associated with his account as well as setting up 2 step verification

Hi, sorry to jump in this, but my son has the same issue. He updated his tag and used a symbol at the end of the new one. It’s kept his old one below the new one. Is it because of the symbol? He’s very upset as he feels he’s wasted the change fee!
