"Too Many Requests" when trying to log in

So basically, I got "Too Many Requests" when trying to log in to my Microsoft account (Was trying to log in my Minecraft account from Microsoft). I don't know why, but I'm sure it's because when I check this page, I saw a lot of unsuccessful sign-in. 2 Hours ago, 4 hours ago, 5 hours ago, 6 hours ago, 7 hours ago, and even yesterday. I'm sure the reason why I got "Too Many Requests" is because them. I never try to log in anymore, I've logged in since months ago! It's just happen that I want to log in to my Minecraft account from Microsoft, and got "Too Many Requests" because people around the world trying to log in to my Microsoft account, and all of them fail! It's all saying that "Incorrect password entered", so what am I suppose to do now?? I've made a strong password, but they still trying to log in. How can I avoid this? And the important part it, how do I log in to my Microsoft account again?? I mean they all trying to sign-in to my account like every single day, and even every single hour!

    :)

"Too Many Requests" when trying to log in

Hello and welcome to our community!

We’re excited to have you here and have great conversations! I'd be happy to be of assistance.

I’m sorry to hear that your account is being targeted by unauthorized access attempts. It seems likely that others may know your email address and are trying to sign in to reset your password or change your email. In the meantime, since you're getting an error "Too Many Requests", please try to sign back in again after a couple of hours or after 24 hours. Once you successfully signed in, you can then follow the steps below to secure your account.

To secure your account, I recommend changing your primary email address. Please follow the steps below:

    1. Sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/profile

    2. Under Account info > Click on Sign-in Preferences

Note: It will ask you to verify your account, enter the password again or enter a code that will be sent to your email address.

    3. Under Account aliases > Click on Add email.

    4. Choose Create a new email address and add it as an alias > Enter your desired email. That will be for example *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***

    5. You will be redirected to previous page again and Under Account aliases > choose your new email address and make it Primary.

    6. Now, under Sign-in Preference, uncheck your previous email.

Note: This will be your new email address for your account. You can use your new email address temporary so that hackers will no longer be able to use your previous email address. Use the same password that you have for this account. You can use it for like a week then you can revert it back to your previous email. Using your new email address, if someone will try to sign in using your previous email, they will get " Account does not exist" Error.

For more information on how to secure account, click here https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/account-pro...

Hope the above information helps. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks!

too many request issues with email

    Hi Osvaldo,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues logging in to your Microsoft account. This may be due to a network issue at the time the login request is sent.

Please try to "Sign out everywhere" your Microsoft account. Try to use a different device such as your smartphone and disconnect from your current Wi-Fi and use your mobile data during this process:

Sign in to your Advanced security options on your Microsoft account security dashboard.

    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2253707

Scroll down to Sign out everywhere and select Sign out.

Once done, give it few minutes to update across all Microsoft servers before trying again.

Note: Sign out may take up to 24 hours.

    Regards,

    Alvaro

“This app made too many requests”

    Hi Lauren,

    Some questions:

    1. Where exactly are you trying to sign in - an Xbox console, or the Xbox website or app on another device (smartphone, tablet, PC)? Do you have 2FA/2SV enabled on your account?
    2. Are there any specific error codes with the error message?
    3. Are you able to successfully sign in to another Xbox account/profile on the same device?
    4. Have you tried a different network? If you're connected to a WiFi network, try 4G/5G mobile data (as a hotspot if you're not signing in on a smartphone).
