Forza Horizon 5 PlayStation 5 Unlinking

So not only are you not allowed to receive the gifts again on PS5 if you’ve received them on Xbox, but you also can’t unlink your account to start fresh. You would have to make a whole separate account. There’s no Cross Progression so there’s no reason why you shouldn’t receive the free 30 cars if you’re starting fresh on a new system even with you linking your Xbox account to it. Maaaan, this wasn’t thought out at all.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you want to inquire about unlinking a Forza Horizon 5 account from your PlayStation 5.

According to Forza Horizon's FAQ, linking a Microsoft account to a PSN account is on a title-by-title basis and permanent. Players have the ability to unlink the Microsoft account to that PSN account, for Forza Horizon 5, but will be constrained to relinking to only that specific and originally linked, Microsoft account.

Unfortunately once you link your Microsoft account to your PlayStation account it cannot be unlinked later, due to restrictions set by PlayStation.

They wanted to take it to a wider audience. More money. MLB had been exclusive for years. This was a great decision for MLB. It was the MLB itself that pushed Sony into going multiplat. (We go to other platforms or we give the license to another developer).
