Discus and support Modern Warfare II - Says Installing But Makes No Progress in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I am trying to install Modern Warfare II via the Xbox PC app. The game has been stuck on "Installing" for over 24 hours.     Modern Warfare II - Says Installing But Makes No Progress


    I am trying to install Modern Warfare II via the Xbox PC app. The game has been stuck on "Installing" for over 24 hours. No progress has been made. There is ample space on my SSD and I get no error message. I tried closing the COD launcher and reopening it but that made no difference. The game just will not install yet my PC says that it is installed. I cannot uninstall it since it isn't installed.... but it just won't install.

    Hi Alex,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're having issues installing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

    Is there any error message that you can share?

    What happens whenever you launch the game since it says installed?

    If you have a secondary partition or storage, I would recommend that you try to install it to that path to isolate your issue.

    Press Start > type Storage Settings and open the Storage Settings > Click Advanced storage settings > Where new content is saved > Change the storage of the "New apps will save to:"

    Why is it whenever I put my Modern Warfare 2 Cross Gen disc into my Xbox it doesn’t even start to install or even show up in the Queue? (I just bought the game.)

    Thank you so much for that and do you have the Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, installed? If yes, can you please check if you can install the packs for Call of Duty Modern Warfare II from there?

    Go to "My games and apps" > Installed games > Highlight the game > Press the Menu button > Go to "manage games and add-ons" > Click the game icon.
