Left 4 Dead 2 won’t spin up or even read

So I have a disc for the game left 4 dead 2 on the Xbox 360 and when trying to boot it up on my series X the disc won’t even bother to read let alone spin up…I’ve already tested it on other Xbox related systems before trying another series x where it didn’t work aswell. The disc isn’t dirty and nothing is wrong with my series X so why won’t it boot at all? It runs a myriad of other 360 games just fine but when it comes to Left 4 Dead 2 it’s just a no go…I’ve also experienced this with a few other games that seem to not be backwards compatible and they at least spin up before rejecting the disc. What’s wrong with left 4 dead that the Xbox just seems to hate it? Is it because valve no longer allows it to be on the series x? Or is it something with Xbox themselves?

Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 are backwards compatible games for Xbox One and Series, so it should work. If the disc won't spin or attempt to be read, even on another Series X console, the issue is most likely with the physical disc itself and not the console, as you mention there are no issues with any other discs.

Although it may not visually appear dirty or damaged, it may have microcracks, a deteriorated layer, or internal damage to the data portion that prevents it from being read. This would also explain why other games spin or are at least recognized, even if they are not compatible.
