    I cannot join multiplayer worlds with either my friend / partner no matter what I try


    Hi, I've tried everything I could think of to fix this issue, but every time I try joining or inviting anyone to worlds on minecraft it comes up with these messages: " cannot connect to world, check your connection or " there was a problem, multiplayer hosting has stopped. "

    Here is what I've done to fix the issue so far:

    . I have nintendo switch online ( I play switch )

    . My friends and partner also have subscriptions for xbox and playstation

    . We all have the latest version of bedrock minecraft installed

    . I've restarted my console multiple times

    . I have stable internet connection

    . I have all settings enabled on both my Microsoft and xbox permissions for multiplayer, and my worlds are set to enable multiplayer

    I can join my friends and play with them on servers ( eg. Hive, lifeboat ) but I can't play any worlds with them, anyone know how to fix this issue, it's been months to no avail. :/

    Yes ,In the settings of world I allow multiplayer. Online and privacy settings allow Multiplayer . Also my friends. When my friends create world lets me in , if I create the world my friends cannot enter.

    I’ve tried all available to PlayStation of the above and I still cannot join any multiplayer realm or such. I played on my friends realm 3 days ago but since then I’ve not been able to join. It says “connecting” and then immediately closes out not joining the world.

    Hi Nancy,

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help troubleshoot the issue.

    From your description, it sounds like the issue might be stemming from your friend's saved world since you can both join general servers, you can join other friend's servers, and nobody else seems to be able to join your friend's personal server.

    What device is your friend playing on? Have either of you create a new world for testing to see if you can join each other at all?

    It could be that the world is corrupted and hangs when trying to join multiplayer.

    I would also recommend a hard reboot of both devices.

    How can I change my child's (MS Family) permissions to allow them to add friends in Minecraft (Win10 PC version - Not Java)?

    I have activated all these settings and my child’s profile still cannot add friends on minecraft. I can join his world but he cannot join my world. He shows 1 friend on the friends tab but it doesn’t show any joinable friends or my world inside the friends
    tab. I have even changed all settings to allow everything (defeats the purpose) and I still cannot add friends on his account. Please help!!!!!!
