    Sudden color change.


    I turned on my Series X today and everything was normal. It booted up normally taking me to sign in and then to my dash board. after which I launched FO4 and the first loading screen comes up then takes me to the main game screen where I select my quick save to load up. once I select it seems to start load just fine then suddenly the screen just switched. all the colors are wrong. like someone messed with the picture setting really badly on the tv. and now it wont change back. Ive tried adjusting and reseting the tv settings. unplugging the xbox. toggled HDR. everything. my thoughts go to the graphics card, maybe?

    I am really not sure.

    some additional info that may pertain. while playing FO4 last night, the game continually crashed on me. I thought maybe I just got unlucky with a massive enemy spawn. which killed me a couple of times and prompted a few loads and crashes.

    Hi Working,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're having issues with the color calibration of your Xbox Series X.

    To make sure that what you are experiencing is not related to your device cache, I would recommend that you perform a power cycle. Please note that this is different from a regular restart, Kindly follow the steps below.

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

    2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 50 seconds.

    Important: Make sure that you wait at least 50 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

    3. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

    If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

    Important If your console is in Sleep mode, the above steps will shut the console off completely. Sleep mode, or the ability to turn on your console by saying "Xbox on," won't be enabled until you restart the console.

    If it's still not working, I would recommend that you try a different HDMI cable or connect your Xbox to a different monitor or TV to see if you will experience the same issue.

    Hey there Mobinette!

    Odd that the colors are different from each other. I had to double check with my account that this wasn't normal. Can you try changing your profile color, remove your profile, power cycle your Xbox One (hold down power button for 8-10 seconds until it shuts
    off), and then add your profile back to see if the colors match up? Let us know how it goes :)

    Pot usually makes creative types even more creative. Me thinks someone snuck in some meth. All of a sudden the color white seemed like a good idea.
