    Its weird I dont understand, I paid full price + more money in the account for the pay difference but that isnt the issue its the fact that when I gifted the game and he goes to reedem it he says it cant be reedem due to the game being purchased at a different location and the microsoft store wont let me buy a gift card and give him the code because apparently I have a limit on it

    Gifting is region locked. Since he is not in Canada, he won't be able to use the code.

    MicroSofts refusal to honor a purchase it has taken money for.

    By chance are you living in a different region then he is? Like him in the States and you in Canada? Games can not be cross region gifted.

    What exactly did the message he get say?

    Hey there,

    Are you and your friend in the same Country/Region? I live in Canada and my friend lives in the USA, he tried to surprise me by gifting me a game for Christmas however it didn't work as we are in different countries. He had to contact support to get a refund for the game. In the end he sent me money to purchase the game as he wanted to give me a present haha!

    Hi sAhAnLcH, no you can't. The 5£ only works on Great Britain. Your friend can't use it in US. The better
    way is to send money to him via Paypal or (if you really want buy him a Xbox gift card) buy on an non-official site an gift card in US money and send him the code. Very good friend he have :)

    Game disappeared

    my friend owns it and he sent it me as a gift he also said it didnt charge him for gifting it. i didnt get a code or anything telling me about it, i just so happen to be going through my games and noticed it and just downloaded it with no problem. he told me he sent it a few hours before, now it not showing up in my owned games and when i go to the store it says i need to buy it
