    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're having issues with your Xbox one S due to a concerning clicking sound.

    For us to isolate your issue, please share more information about the sound that you're hearing. If it feels like it's coming from the disc, a very subtle whirring or spinning sound when inserting or reading a disc is expected. However, here some sample noises that are concerning:

    1. Loud clicking or grinding noises

    2. Constant humming even without a disc in place

    3. Sounds that don't appear normal or loud in comparison to other consoles

    If the sound that you're hearing is concerning, I would recommend that you request to have it checked by a professional.

    Submitting an online repair request is the fastest and least expensive way to get your console repaired.

    Might start a new post and post more details. Sounds like your hhd is failing or have somthing in the fan

    Xbox One S making humming noise while Off, normal?

    Yes, my Xbox One S with the internal Power Supply Unit, right after being plugged into anything, also makes a whining noise for a few seconds and then a constant ticking sound. Obnoxious. None of my Sony devices have this problem - go figure.
