Cant download Oblivion Remastered on PC game pass

Problem: Oblivion on Xbox Game pass (PC) gets stuck at 720MB. I have tried everything. including but not limited to reinstalling Xbox, restarting my PC, clearing caches, changing drives, changing DNS, checking file integrity, troubleshooters for Xbox and Windows update. If it's on the internet then I've tried it (Excluding using a different account or resetting the PC - I'm not doing that). I've emailed Bethesda (game devs) to see if it is possibly a server sided issue. If anybody else has this issue id like to know, and if anybody has any ideas to fix it I'd love to try them.

There is no error message, it just gets stuck at ~720MB then stops, it hasn't changed after all the "fixes" I've done.

Running on Windows 11 Pro 10.0.26100

Sidenote: Windows Store is also trying to download Direct X Runtime but can't and is showing the error code: 0x80244022 - This could be related, not sure, either way I've installed Direct X Runtime from the web. I've also tried some fixes for that error code but nothing worked on that either.

Hello Dylan, sorry to hear you're having trouble.

I see where you listed everything that you've done so far. At the moment the only other thing I can think of for you to try would be to turn off your PC then unplug the modem/router for at least 60 seconds. Once it's back up and running try again.

Barring that though you may need to try a fresh install of the OS even though you may not want to.

Please verify game file integrity because a corrupt game files can cause crashes. To do this, open the Xbox App. Locate Oblivion Remastered, click the Menu button (three dots), and select Manage > Files > Verify and Repair.

And then reduce the graphics settings in Oblivion Remastered such as lowering anti-aliasing, shadows, or texture quality. Run the game in Windowed Mode or reduce the resolution temporarily.

Next is to temporarily disable overlays such as NVIDIA GeForce Experience, Xbox Game Bar, or Discord that can interfere with gameplay.

Then test without mods. If you’re running mods in Oblivion Remastered, one or more mods could be unstable. Temporarily disable or remove all mods to see if the crashes stop.

After that is to update Windows and gaming services by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and install all updates.

And to update Gaming Services through the Microsoft Store. Open the Store, search for Gaming Services, and update/reinstall.

If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly uninstall Oblivion Remastered via the Xbox App. Restart your PC and reinstall the game.

Even with bc, there are still a few games I'd like a remastered version of too. Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout NV and Skyrim.... Unfortunately I'm 99% sure non of them will be remastered.
