    I have a 2tb seagate external hard for my xbox one that stopped working


    I have a 2tb seagate external hard drive for my Xbox one it work at one point then just stopped working randomly. The light come on when plugged in so I know it's atleast getting power. I plugged it into my PC that recognize it but said it was unintialized, so I initialized it then tried it again on the Xbox and it still doesn't see it. What should I do next?

    hmm, this will erase the data but try formatting the drive or you can check the status of the drive on your pc using the "disk management" app and if this doesn't work, try another wire or port on your Xbox. the format will need to be NTFS. when you initialized the drive, it could have changed the format.

    My son is needing an external hard drive (2TB) for his old Xbox 360s. What do you recommend?
    Pretty much any brand of external hard drive will work on the Xbox 360. But, I recommend anything from either Western Digital, Seagate or Toshiba should work fine.

    My old 360 - which I use occasionally has a 2TB Western Digital external hard drive.

    As I said before, it's a good idea to install all disc based games now. These Xbox 360 consoles aren't getting any younger!
