Identity verification not working

    Identity verification not working


    Xbox requires identity verification and sends a code. This code is expiring almost immediately and even if I am able to confirm my identity it is not allowing me access to my account. I cannot find a telephone number for Xbox or Microsoft to help me with the situation all of the online support does not address the specific issue. The verification system is not working. It also times out after a few minutes if I try to verify using the console.

    I figured it out. You have go to Microsoft security settings and set up identity verification and two step verification.

    Had same issue. Just signed out of my profile and signed back in. Had to re-enter my password and a half-dozen identity verification codes, but that got it working.
