    New oblivion remastered update made the game completely unplayable


    I recently updated oblivion remastered and the game was running just fine before no crashes, fps drops in the open world which I didn't completely mind since my rig isn't the greatest but had been playing the game perfectly fine prior to today's update which I thought would fix some performance issues or some silly bugs I had found. I was completely wrong in fact it somehow made my game perform even WORSE than before I'm getting frame drops and insane stutters ON THE MAIN MENU. I can't load any saves because the game immediately crashes and it only says "Fatal Error!' in response. I bought game pass and the deluxe edition upgrade because I was excited for the game and now all I can feel is complete disgust and disappointment. I already verified installed files, updated my graphics drivers and done everything under the sun that I could think of but nothing works and the game is genuinely unplayable now. What a fantastic job bethesda.

    I have almost the exact same specs! Please let me know if you find a solution!!!

    It didn't help me for this game, but I know you need to update your BIOS if you have not done so recently. That will help keep your processor stable! There's a microcode bug in our processors.

    I understand that you are experiencing crashing issues with Oblivion Remastered on PC.

    I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

    Please verify game file integrity because a corrupt game files can cause crashes. To do this, open the Xbox App. Locate Oblivion Remastered, click the Menu button (three dots), and select Manage > Files > Verify and Repair.

    And then reduce the graphics settings in Oblivion Remastered such as lowering anti-aliasing, shadows, or texture quality. Run the game in Windowed Mode or reduce the resolution temporarily.

    Next is to temporarily disable overlays such as NVIDIA GeForce Experience, Xbox Game Bar, or Discord that can interfere with gameplay.

    Then test without mods. If you’re running mods in Oblivion Remastered, one or more mods could be unstable. Temporarily disable or remove all mods to see if the crashes stop.

    After that is to update Windows and gaming services by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and install all updates.

    And to update Gaming Services through the Microsoft Store. Open the Store, search for Gaming Services, and update/reinstall.

    If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly uninstall Oblivion Remastered via the Xbox App. Restart your PC and reinstall the game.

    Been wanting a new TimeSplitters game for years,even a remaster of the old ones would be nice.

    I think Crytek own the ip now & after the complete mess they recently made with the Crysis remaster i'm not so sure i'd want them to do the same with TimeSplitters.

    Even with bc, there are still a few games I'd like a remastered version of too. Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout NV and Skyrim.... Unfortunately I'm 99% sure non of them will be remastered.
