    How do I turn on multiplayer for Minecraft?


    I am trying to play Minecraft with my friends but it I cannot play multiplayer because of how my Microsoft account is set up. If anyone knows please help me.

    I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

    Is your account linked to a family group wherein there is an organizer account?
    If yes, it will be the organizer that'll customize your privacy and security settings to enable multiplayer.

    Sign in the organizer account here: https://www.xbox.com/user/settings/privacy-and-... then click on your account.

    Choose the option: "In Privacy & Online Safety, click Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety."
    Scroll down to the second option from the bottom, stating “You can join multiplayer games“. Set this to Allow.
    Click Submit to save your changes.

    Please test it out and see if it works now.

    Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the multiplayer settings. Please try to follow these steps to enable multiplayer, try to check the image below as a visual guide. If you are in a family group, please ask the organizer/parent to do the steps below.

    1. Go to settings page https://www.xbox.com/user/settings/privacy-and-...

    2. Sign in your account.

    3. Select Xbox and Windows Online Safety tab.

    4. Find these settings and set them to enable/allow:

    -Join multiplayer games

    -Join cross-network play

    5. Click Submit and wait for the page to reload.

    6. Sign out of Minecraft and restart for the new settings to take effect.
