Hi, I just bought the Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller, and I’m having some issues. While plugged in it would randomly disconnect completely, and then the screen would show me the prompt saying I needed a controller. After this happened multiple times I decided to let the controller charge without me playing a game because maybe that was the issue. Well after about 2 hours I got back on and the same problem still happens. Unplugged or plugged in it will randomly disconnect. I looked online and it said to restart the controller by holding down the one button for ten seconds until the controller vibrates. This didn’t help at all. Also for some reason when I am playing marvel rivals and I press both joysticks down at the same time the controller disconnects. This is all a big issue for me because I play fps games and if my controllers disconnects then I’m dead. I payed $130 dollars for this and yet I’m having more trouble than when I had a $60 controller. Please help.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Xbox Elite 2 controller. So I can better understand your situation, allow me to ask some questions.

Does this happen whenever you're connected through USB cable or just when connected wirelessly through Bluetooth?

Do you have a different controller to test and compare if you will experience the same issue?

If your controller turns on when connected with a cable, try updating the controller firmware:

On a Windows PC, you can do this by installing the Xbox Accessories app from the Microsoft Store, and then connecting the controller while the app is open.

On an Xbox console, press the Xbox button to open the guide and then select Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Controllers & headsets. Select “…” under the controller that you're troubleshooting to check the firmware status.

Since it has some "cheat" functionalities on it, like anti-recoil, rapid-fire, etc.

For the back pedals, you can use an XBOX Elite Controller 2.

I bought Xbox Wireless Elite Series 2 Controller, Here in EU (Greece) all controllers have 1 year warranty and the Series X/S consoles 2 years.
