Cant change what Xbox account i want to sign in on.

So a while ago my old Microsoft account got hacked and there was no hope of getting it back. Recently I've made a new account which im signed in on in the Microsoft store, but any time i open the Minecraft launcher or Xbox app it immediately takes me to adding the password for my old account. I am unable to choose to login with a different email, i have deleted the Xbox app and its data multiple times and i just cant see to change what account it logs in with

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're having issues logging in to your new Microsoft account on your Xbox App.

Based on the information that you provided, your previous credentials are saved in your credentials manager.

To fix this, delete all Xbox and Microsoft from your credentials manager. There is a high possibility that your previous credentials are saved in your cache and being used automatically.

Credential Manager lets you view and delete your saved credentials for signing in to websites, connected applications, and networks.

Click on Start > Search for Credential manager > Windows credentials. Search for Xbl|DeviceKey, click on it and then Remove. Also, remove all the XblGrts and XboxLive credentials.

Same here! I cant even sign into my account, whats going on? Trying to sign in and says cant connect to xbox live. I also have comcast.

lol i have one more issue ok i made my girl friend an account on my xbox but i cant get into the account cuz when i made it i forgot what email and password i used and now we cant sign on because of the proof thing and it
wants the email and password

I gave him my account information to stop the hacker accessing my account on his xbox. Because even if I change the password on hotmail.com they can still sign in on xbox... what I want to know is what will be done about this?

Hi there,

the only thing you can change is the email address used to sign into a Microsoft Account (Xbox Live Account), this will only change the email address used to sign into the account. (It doesn't transfer the full Xbox Live Account to a different Microsoft
Account)

Changing gamertags, will only result in a different gamertag, it does not change the account or take any save game progress with it.

Is the change sign-ing email address option what you seek or do you want to achieve something else?
