Xbox One X Not Sending 1440p 120hz Signal

The monitor is a 1440 144hz Monitor with HDMI 2.1 which is compatible for 1440p 144hz which is the Native resolution.
Your Monitor only uses HDMI 2.0,

There are no Monitor's available as of yet that supports HDMI 2.1,

The very first Monitor to support HDMI 2.1 ( The World's First Monitor to have HDMI 2.1 ) won't be released until the end of December if it doesn't get delayed and that's a 4K 144hz Monitor.

    Xbox Series S 2K at 120hz with HDMI 2.0

most tv's dont support 1440 and 120, so a monitor is a good choice, the monitor needs to support 1440 res and will only do 120hz over hdmi.

hdmi 2.1 is backward compatable so you should be ok.

    Xbox Series X 1440p Monitor

monitor for Xbox Series X at 1440p 120hz. If you have trouble getting 1440p 120hz on the Series X using the provided Microsoft hdmi cable, try switching it with the one that came with the monitor. At first I could not get 120hz using the provided hdmi cable that came with the Xbox, but switched it to the one that came with the monitor and the option for 1440p 120hz finally became selectable.

    Looks like.the monitor is picky

As it has issues with ps5 and series x

Odd it requires a hdmi 2.0 rather then a hdmi 2.1 cable

That was a comment by another user also Bestbuy has Lenovo experts in ther

Why won’t it run 120 hertz

you do not need hdmi 2.1 for 120hz on any of the new consoles, please please please stop mis informing people this way.

you need hdmi 2.1 just for 4K and 120hz with VRR.

    1080p and 1440 120hz does not need hdmi 2.1

@op your monitor supports 144hz but does not list 120hz in its edid which the xbox requires to select that.

    Xbox Series X Freesync

    the monitor specs show

    HDMI (Max. Resolution at Hz)

    3440 x 1440 10bit@85Hz
    3440 x 1440 8bit@100Hz

as the freesync does not cover the range up to 120hz then i don't think it will be selectable, my screen has freesync up to 165hz over hdmi and DP and is selectable.

your DP port covers up to 160hz, not sure if a hdmi to dp will work as i have never used one but i know they need to be specific version.
