    Xbox S has no sound at all


    My Xbox s has lost all sound, I have checked all the cables, audio settings, audio setup tool, reset the device multiple times and completed all other steps in previous threads. This happened once before and the only real help I could access was via Disney+ (absolutely fantastic compared to Microsoft customer service). They fixed the issue which was the Xbox wasn’t providing an exact location via the ip address. I spent over an hour on the phone to Disney+ yesterday but nothing they tried fixed the audio issue. Please Microsoft give me a fix, don’t just fob me off with loose cables and audio settings. Thanks

    Sounds like that store has overbought PS 4's and is struggling to shift them and is now having to pile on the pressure to try and sell all those unwanted Playstation 4's.

    The Xbox system does not detect the mic and there is no sound coming out of the headset.

    When connecting to a PC or phone the headset has sound. Although I did not test the microphone to see if it was detected at all. I will attempt that later

    I still think the issue is with the Xbox one S controller that originally came with the console.

    Sounds like bad batch mine has a similar issue. My xbox one s is silent in comparison

    I'd recommend the Astro A30's / A40's with wireless mixamp all day long. Pricy but, you can use them for anything that has a jack; PS3, iPhone, PC etc. Sublime sound quality.
