    Am I allowed to have two separate Microsoft accounts?


    I had made an account way back using my normal gmail. The onedrive on that one is synced up to my phone, so it's stores my photos and stuff. I also have it as an operator in a family group. Then apparently when I wanted to play minecraft and saw that you needed a microsoft account to do that, I ended up making a whole new microsoft account using a different gmail. I bought minecraft on that second microsoft account and really only use it for that purpose. I did also join the family group with this second account as well.

    My question I guess is is it ok to do that? Am I allowed to have two separate accounts at the same time with separate emails and use one for everyday personal stuff, and then the other one just for playing minecraft? I don't really want to get rid of either one, and I have them both linked to the same family group as operators. I hope this all makes sense. I tried searching this question and couldn't find an answer for my specific scenario. I don't want to get in trouble for having two personal accounts for myself with different emails and stuff.

    Windows 8 and Xbox Live are on two separate Microsoft accounts.

    This suggestion simply results in my having two separate Microsoft accounts to choose from to log in on my windows 8 computer. It does not solve the issue of allowing me to view the "xbox games" application with my current xbox live account information,
    while logged into a different (primary) Microsoft account.

    Methinks you're going to have to pay for the DLC for your account. I don't think Bungie is going to allow a download for one purchase (on your buds) yet to two separate accounts.

    Hi there,

    has your daughter's account set the console as Home console? To see if that will allow your son's account to play the games that were downloaded from the vault.

    Setting a console as Home console will allow other profiles to use the game licenses connected to that account.

    Be aware that this can only be set 3x per year for a account.

    Your Microsoft account and the Xbox account are basically just one thing. They cannot be separated completely without deleting the email account. Sorry but one of you will have to start over fresh if you wish to separate the two accounts.
