Microsoft reset my xbox data and continues to bill me for gamepass with no way to cancel...

Microsoft cannot reset the data on your account unless your account was deleted, hacked, or you have a different login and created a new account.

Please call your bank and request to stop the recurring billing from the MS account.

If there is a possibility that your account has a different login, please check your emails and other accounts you have and try to log them in on MS account.

If you think it was deleted, please try to reopen the account.

If you think it was hacked, try to access your account using your phone number or the alias you have added to that account.

You can use the recovery form to recover your account if you are unable to access either your phone number or your alias.

However, if your main email address, phone number, and alias were deleted or replaced, including your two-step authentication. There is the possibility that your account cannot be recovered.

my kids get gamepass and live via codes, they do not have billing info and i do not have billing info, when i enter a code it asks me do you want re occuring billing, i select no and continue on my way, this is via the xbox itself and by the xbox app on pc. but i am in the UK so it maybe different for other countries.

I paid for the special gamepass offer for 3 months ( it cost 4 zl in my countries currency),

I then cancelled the monthly fee - so that I can keep the gamepass for the 3 months but discontinue paymets once it finishes - And yet although it's only been 1 month my subscription ended .

Should this of happened?

Did you just turn off "recurring billing" or did you cancel the Game Pass? Turning off recurring billing would have just meant it continued till it ran out; cancelling it altoegther would have meant that it stopped straight away.

Sounds to me as if you cancelled it by mistake...you can try contacting support and asking if they can reinstate it but not sure if they will or not

So are you telling me that there is no actual way for me to find out what account is linked to my gamepass and I may as well cancel it?

No you don't need to cancel the subscription, you will simply need to wait the natural expiration.

From what you have written I think that you have a Gamepass Ultimate (which already includes all Gold benefits), therefore your only way to have only an active gold is this:

- cancel the recurring billing for Gamepass Ultimate (already done)

- wait until the natural expiration of Gamepass Ultimate

- Buy a Gold Membership Card or activate the gold subscription on the xbox store

Unfortunately there is no way to make a direct downgrade from Gamepass Ultimate to Gold
