How can I allow my 6 year old son, who has an account on Microsoft, play on the Minecraft...

My son is 6 years old and loves Minecraft all the time. He also plays Angry Bird games and Plants Vs Zombie games. He's looking for kids to play with. He has a mic and loves to talk... a lot, but he's a very sweet kid. He does not cuss and is your normal
6 year old boy. Please add him (he uses my account), my gamer tag is

I have done all the steps listed, and downloaded the app. Settings are correct for my son, and I still have the same issue.

Sorry to hear about that, however, please note that Microsoft enforces strict policies regarding child and teen accounts. I would not recommend altering his age solely to enable multiplayer access.

You would need to add him as a member in a family group by signing in to your account at account.microsoft.com/family Once done, you need to sign in to the privacy settings at https://account.xbox.com/Settings using your own account and enable these settings for him:

Under Xbox and Windows 10 devices Online safety, ensure that "You can play with people outside of Xbox Live", "You can create and join clubs", "You can add friends" and "You can join multiplayer games" are set to Allow. Scroll down and click submit.

Under Privacy, "You can see and upload community creations" set it to Everyone and these are optional: "You can communicate outside of Xbox Live with voice & text" Allow and "Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites" Everyone. Scroll down and click Submit.

Then he may need to sign out and sign in again under Settings in-game for the changes to take effect.

Or, you may simply use the Xbox Family Settings app that you can download here: https://www.xbox.com/apps/family-settings-app to enable his privacy settings.

I have a 7 yr old daughter and a 6 six yr old son and they both play Minecraft and Roblocks.I just let them play random games and but they are not allowed to use the mic.
