Wired connection not working

Hello!

Have you tried any of the troubleshooting steps such as rebooting all of your networking equipment and doing a hard reset on your Xbox?

Did you guy a hub or a switch? How long is the network cable? Is there anything else touching the cable/resting on it that might cause interference? And if possible can you connect directly to your router without the hub just to test? Thanks.

Try deleting the mac adress and power cycle the console to see if it resolves your problem...

Sorry to hear that you're having problems with the console picking up that it's wired when it is.

Now, I would normally say that the best bet for you to try what we call a soft reset of your console.

However we currently are having problems with our
Xbox Live Service Status, I'd recommend waiting until it is resolved before you go ahead with this step.

The soft reset is a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network (since it's not picking up all the time that you're wired, I'd go ahead and switch to wireless for this step).

Also make sure that you select the option denoted reset and keep my games and apps.
