Saved and quit while offline, now my world is gone?

Again thank you for your assistance, he is in his own account this is how we start up

I use my account to load the world then when I'm loaded in he presses start on the second controller it then asks to select an account or guest he chooses his own gold account we play for a while the he hits save and quit then when he is gone I hit save
and quit then next time we go to play his character is a brand new spawn with all his items gone and character edits back to default

A few things.

a. If you used the dupe glitch you have higher chances of corrupting your world.

b. Never "Exit and Save" but use "Save" only and after just Exit without saving. There is a bug with Save and Quit. (source: Official Minecraft forum).

c. While your world is OK, just backup a copy on a USB stick.



To summarize, saved worlds becoming corrupted and unloadable is a known severe issue with the game right now. The best steps you can take to avoid it are to never use the save + Quit option, simply saving normally and quiting without saving. Right now it
is best to stay on the safe side, and always use the Xbox's HD and backing up to a USB stick. Obviously this can't guarantee it still wont happen but 4J Studios are aware of the bug.

Took a few days but was finally able to reinstall the dlc. While still connected to the internet I was able to continue from my last manual save. I then quit the game and put my xbox to offline. Afterwards I started the game back up and thankfully was able to load the manual save.

Edit: It seems the problem occurs whenever I turn my console off while offline.

Hello and thank you for the quick reply. Speaking directly about Minecraft worlds, we play some of them offline because of our internet connection, will these offline worlds be saved to the cloud once we go online to play any other world? Or do all Minecraft worlds need to be loaded independently while online to be synced to the cloud? I guess it’s confusing because we play offline and online.. because of bad internet. How do we know for sure what is saved? We already lost our best world once and it was pretty terrible.

all my progress was deleted, i haven't played the game in quite a while and went online today got an update and now everything is gone. WTF?
