Why have i been banned for checking on my other accounts that i haven’t used in awhile??

This morning i got completely xbox banned for making several accounts in a quick time to check if my passwords on a different game still matched, and the only way to do that is by making a new xbox account to log in, but the day after i load on my xbox it says im console banned. I wasn’t exploiting any games i was simply checking if the passwords were still the same as they were many years ago. I’m not sure how this leads to a permanent ban when also i have had no prior suspensions or strikes on my account. Could someone please tell me if this is likely to be overturned as this is completely unfair. Thanks

An appeal would be for an account ban, not a console ban. Account bans and console bans are separate so it would be possible to have the account ban lifted if the enforcement team determined they made a mistake.

So what is the point of an appeal, considering i’ve done nothing against the guidelines how is that at all fair?

Console bans cannot be reversed.

It’s not my responsibility if my account was hacked hence why when I got the email saying I’ve been banned for something I haven’t done this is wrong

I have spent roughly a thousand or so hours on Destiny 2. I haven’t checked in awhile.
