Why does Microsoft destroy your account and send it to the shadows if you get a new number, all because I got a new phone number I now lose hundreds of dollars worth of stuff saved to my Microsoft account all because I can’t give them a three digit security code and yet they always respond with how much they care about security you can ask me 1000 questions about my account and they’re all correct but I can’t give you a three digit code that you text to somebody else so you lock everything out. I’ve done account recovery four separate times all of my questions are correct and yet I still receive the same email saying unfortunately

Nobody said it wasn’t my responsibility. Kind of hard to keep my information up-to-date when I lose my cell phone number unannounced and not by choice. For a volunteer moderator you should also look into your customer Service skills and put yourself in the customer shoes, not being so fast to respond with your unhelpful responses. Instructing me that only support can deal with my support issue doesn’t help. I’ve been talking to virtual agents that are completely useless. I call phone numbers that virtual assistance that hang up on me, I can request a call back, but because my responses don’t meet their criteria they won’t give me one. And auto response emails that say unfortunately there’s nothing they can do. So I guess I should. just keep working with that. Thanks for all your helpful advice.

you need to keep your account information up-to-date, this is your responsibility to keep the information current and remember your credentials.

only Support can deal with account issues, so you'll have to keep working with them

I am really confused. Does my son have Beta now? Also since the Microsoft points were converted to currency why can't we use it on his console? So are you telling me that we are out the $30 ( 2400) Microsoft points. Will he ever be able to use Microsoft
points against or what. I don't understand anything about the gaming world.

That sucks dude. I hope you get it sorted. I will never ever ever play any game that has EA associated with it again regardless of how good it is.

As far as points go, I made a silver account that I never use except to buy stuff from the marketplace. I never go online with it obviously, but I feel like my points will never be stolen from it. I will never use my gold account to purchase anything.

I hardly ever buy DLC, or anything with Microsoft points, only bought the main Skyrim DLC and 1 Borderlands 2 DLC in the last 2 years.
