Why do Microsoft let hackers bypass 2fa and take your xbox account

3 weeks now ive been trying to get back to gaming i have full access to my primary email and yet nothing gets resolved they wonder why people switch to PlayStation network they resolve there problems within 10mins with Microsoft its a long period and still nothing gets done im a first day ever launch player always been loyal to xbox since day 1 and yet support is absolutely useless i come to a conclusion that xbox aint worth it no more. Also adding the fact the security team are useless as well just no help done multiple word documents for them and they say there isnt enough information on my account which is wrong i have multiple emails showing the hacker replaced my security information which before this never alerted me that they got into my account in the first place no code or anything but Microsoft are so big on security clearly NOT.

It’s not that there is someone in my account, the hacker used a script to lock my account, he showed me it, then the next day it’s locked and I can’t get in because it says i have 2fa on.

Without posting any personal info, can you explain exactly what happened?

Did you give any of your own info to this "hacker"? Enabling 2FA makes your account much more resilient to being hacked, not less, so I'm wondering if you gave them certain info that let them take over your account.

Hi there,

If you are referring to a 2FA code, do not remove this. You can, but it can make your account more vulnerable to security issues and basically lets hackers in more easily.

Or, there is Parental Controls on your account. Either or.

thing is with microsoft, you cannot use the recovery form for an account with 2fa enabled, you will need to contact support directly as there is no online way of doing this, usually microsoft refuses to touch an account with 2fa on as even they cannot retrieve codes for the account.

That is a stupid feature.
Have not they thought that the hackers of the account can activate that aswell?
