    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    If this is happening with multiple devices the issue can be with your account itself. Can you please sign in to https://account.xbox.com/settings and make sure that your setting "You can add friends" is set to "allow"?

    Text message and friend request problems

    You should have received a message if you were suspended from sending/receiving text messages and friend requests. Can you send outgoing text messages and friend requests to other players? If you can, then you should be able to get messages and requests
    from other players. I would also look into the privacy settings on your account and make sure you're allowed to send/receive messages and friend requests.

    That's why I always prefer it if a person sends a message with the friend request stating who they are and where they are from e.g. the Xbox.com forums, that way I can seperate them from some random nobody that spams out friend requests to feel special.
