Xbox requests Pin for uninstall of game

Hello,

Xbox requests Pin for uninstall of game. forgot my pin, deleted my pin, it still asks for the pin to uninstall the game.

Ive run all troubleshooting. ive done the trick of inputting the pin 3 times and instead of asking for my password to uninstall it just goes back to the menu.

it does the same with resetting the console it asks for the pin. I can still play games but I am at a loss.

I understand that you are experiencing issues with your Xbox pin.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

First let us get the Start up troubleshooter:

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

Press and hold the Pair button and the Eject button on the console, and then press the Xbox button  on the console.

NOTE: The Xbox Series S and the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition do not have Eject buttons. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on this console by holding only the Pair button (steps 3 and 4) and then pressing the Xbox button .

Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.

Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.

The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

Once you see it, please choose: "Continue" and it will restart your Xbox.

And when prompted for the PIN, enter an incorrect PIN three times. Normally, this should prompt you to enter your Microsoft account password to reset the PIN.

Go to "my games & apps" (you have to go there, not pins). Highlight the game you want to uninstall and press menu (old start button). The uninstall option will be there.

Had the same issue so in the game I turned the PIN code on to accept friends and I was able to send Requests with a pin and then I turned it off and it’s back to normal

The PIN requested on the pc is the windows pin, not the xbox one.

Since you are in the preview program i would Pin it to my home uninstall it go to the pin at the home and select it it'll send you to the store and you can re-install it there,
