Am not quite sure, but it seems you will be redirected to that page if you are part of a family account, and not the owner. If you are over 18, you may consider leaving the family group so may gain access to the privacy and online safety settings.

If you are on a child account, contact the owner of the account to change your privacy settings or grant the child account permission to change their privacy settings.

We understand that you are having trouble changing your Xbox privacy settings even though you are not part of a family group. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.



To resolve this issue, I recommend that you try the following steps:



1. Sign in to your Xbox account on your console or on the Xbox website.

2. Go to the "Settings" menu and select "Privacy & online safety."

3. Select "Xbox Live privacy" and then select "View details & customize."

4. You will see a list of privacy settings that you can customize. Make sure that all the settings are set to "Allow" or "Everyone" if you want to access Forge content.

5. If you are still unable to change your privacy settings, try removing yourself from any family groups that you may have been added to. To do this, go to the "Family" tab in your account settings and select "Remove from family."

6. If you are not part of any family groups and are still unable to change your privacy settings, you may need to be part of a family group and let the Organizer manage your Privacy and Online settings on your profile.

Once you create an account, you can't change the age. If the age of the account is 18 or over, you can promote the account to an adult account. Instructions can be found here -

Please don't post personal information, such as email addresses, on a public forum.

Look for Promote child account to adult account. The child account you want to change does have to 18 though.

EDIT: Wow, I did not see how old this thread was. At least I wasn't the one that bumped it though.

I am able to access my microsoft privacy settings and make changes, but when I go to my Xbox privacy settings from that site it again redirects me to this site:

I am still unable to change my Xbox privacy settings.
