How to connect my Xbox remote to my Xbox wirelessly even though they work with cable?

Hi, I tried this but it didn't work at all. Do you have any other ways I can fix this problem without spending money cause I'm kinda broke.

my virgin media super hub is connected to my pc with an ethernet cable and it's supposed to connect wirelessly to my xbox

I tried connecting it with a cable to my Xbox and it won't detect it. I also tried to connect it wirelessly to my phone and it connects but the white light on the controller keeps flashing, and it won't do anything. It only works when I connect it with a cable on my pc. It doesn't work on any other device wired or wireless.

That did it! When I use a cable to connect my controller I get no more issues

Even though I still think it’s a shame that it doesn’t work wirelessly I can live with that „workaround“ and hope MS will provide an update to fix this in the future.
