How do I "authenticate to Microsoft services" on my xbox console

I'm sorry to hear that you are currently facing this issue. This error appears mostly with Minecraft. We have seen many players reporting the same error. May I know what troubleshooting steps you have done so far?

There are players who say that the issue was fixed on its own, while some other say setting the time and date of the device to automatic helped resolve the issue. For me, I disabled the 2 factor security on my account via my laptop, then was able to agree to terms of service as the parent, just using my single factor ID/Password. I think the xbox console could not deal with this 2 factor in the terms of service parent's
agreement. Yes, this absolutely sucks, Microsoft!

I fixed this by removing two factor authentication from my account. What a piece of cRPP security system, it doesn't tell you from the console this is the problem whatsoever. By the way, to do this, I had to use Chrome browser, because the Microsoft browser
says "There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later."

Microsoft, you'd better get your act together, or you're done as a company!

So in order for future services to work, disable two factor authentication, because it DOESN"T WORK on the XBOX console, nice job!!

Go to the Date & Time settings, change it to a different date, and then sync or revert back to the correct one.

Open the game and see if the issue persists.
