Bukshot, before Microsoft there is only one method for account recovery, for which you must know all the data of that account since you must prove to the system that you are actually the holder of that account.

Go to https://account.microsoft.com/. Once there, they must click on the circle in the upper right corner of the screen. Then click login.

If as a user you do not have any of the recovery options connected to your account, you should click on the selection that says "I do not have any of these". When you click on that link, they will be sent to a Microsoft form. You must complete it, including all pertinent information, and Microsoft will contact you and try to help them recover to regain access to your account.

If the user has forgotten their login information, they should go to login. Choose your login options. This will ask you to enter an alternate email address associated with the account or a phone number.

If the user does not have another linked account to help provide account access, it is recommended to create another account. Once they create the account, they must use the new account to log in and select "forgotten password". By choosing the option "I forgot my password", you will be sent the link https://account.live.com/acsr to the form mentioned above. completed the form Microsoft will contact you.

Hi I'm having the same problem with my xbox and hdmi,

month or so ago i bought a new TV and the older tv went in my room. I know its not the hdmi cable as the cables works with my blueray player on both tv's, with the xbox how ever the hdmi will work on my old tv not the new one which is really frustrating.

I have tried eveything i;m open to any suggestions on how to fix it. one yv is a samsung and other is an lg

Hi there is no error message, I simply cant physically connect xbox to ethernet connection as they are in different rooms, it would mean moving an old CRT 32"TV into the same room as the internet connection, so that I can go to the dashboard and activated
the downloads?

Or if I just take my xbox through to other room and put in the cable connection will the downloads load automatically?

My xbox hasnt been online for 3 years as Im on limited broadband (40gb) .

I did the same thing , did not see the point of keeping my 360 games as they would be dust collectors and yeah I could have kept the 360 I suppose , but as the ONE is supposed to be the new center of your living room / whatever room , I did not want to keep
the old center of my room device so bye bye 360.

I am seriously becoming annoyed by this... It is now randomly lagging my games online and then disconnecting me... I am pretty sure its the console because I had my old one going and it has no disconnects, all ports are forwarded and NAT is Open.

I cannot use my Xbox with wired as my house is huge and the modem/router is on the other complete side of the house compared to my room. I would have to carry my TV and Xbox about 50 ft and plug it into another room just to use wired. So wired is out of
the question on this.
