    Hello, I have had this account for years. I got a gmail on APRIL 4th 2025, saying my login has been changed. I went to go play minecraft and my account recovery gmail has been changed to “R******@autosecure.lol”

    They also added an authentication code, I never had one ever.

    I put in a recovery form, I never received anything back. I can provide proof of my microsoft email getting changed and my account getting logged into, I have it on my google gmail account. Microsoft sent me a code, and another gmail saying an Authenticator app has been added.

    Microsoft team please help, I am using a new account to post onto the community forum. I have had this account for years, have made purchases on this account, it is linked to my pc and my cousins xbox. I used this account to sign up for COLLEGE and now I have no access.

    Beachbum don't get in a hacking argument lol. Hacking single accounts is different than hacking into the PSN and stealing account info and credit cards.

    Unless a main website or service has been hacked - like PSN, it's not a hack ok.

    Phishing, NOT a hack

    Social engineering, NOT a hack

    Giving someone your LIVE ID to someone else and then losing your account,
    NOT a hack

    Using dodgy software or websites offering free points and what not, then losing your account, still
    NOT a hack.

    Signing up for various suspect websites using the same email address and password for LIVE. then losing your account. still
    NOT a hack.

    If EA was compromised and it held your Windows LIVE ID, this is technically a hack, but it's EA that would have been hacked, not Xbox LIVE. When I say 'hack' I mean a real, sophisticated website or server attack. A hack in the literal sense of the word.

    So something else got hacked and the information was used to hack accounts. While its indirect it wasn't a complete hack of XBL Wilk0.
