    Xbox party chat not working due to privacy settings even though they are all one


    I went to join a friend and my party chat wasn't working at first i thought it was my microphone settings but apperntly my privacy settings were the problem, so I go onto the settings but nothings out of order, everything is enable and I still can't use party chats

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

    If everything is on "Allow" or set to "Everyone" on your privacy settings, kindly block all of them then power cycle your console and "Allow" and set to "Everyone" again. This is to refresh your accounts setting.

    I also have the same problem with my xbox one, however my NAT type is open. When I invite people to a party, it will work for a second then we will both take turns connecting, we then are both connecting, then it says “party chat is blocked for some people
    in the party” even though we both enabled it in the privacy settings.

    You cannot record the Xbox Live party chat due to privacy and online safety purposes!

    Next thing I would check if your
    Privacy and Online Safety Settings.     See if the settings there are set to allow you to talk in parties.

    But also, to be clear, is this Xbox Party chat, or in game chat we're talking about?
