can i play bedrock on my laptop?

i bought the bedrock edition of minecraft a few years ago, it has been amazing but i have a laptop now and i would like to try playing bedrock on my pc. when i downloaded the launcher it said that i have to buy minecraft again even though i alr have it on my phone. is this just the case cause im not allowed to or is it a issue on my end?

You would have to buy the PC version since it's a different platform.

I am playing through windows 10 on my laptop using Xbox to open everything.I used to play through bedrock. bedrock is no longer that is when I started having problems and cannot invite any friends in to my world the part where it says invite It used to be a bright gray to where you could click on it and invite. Since bedrock was deleted now that little gray that says invite is a very dull gray and it does nothing when you click on it it’s dead… can you help me???

Same! Ive played bedrock since forevwr and was finally able to get a laptop that can actually run it! Now after getting the Java bedrock bundle I can't even launch it?! If anyone has figured out the fix yet please let me know!
