when I try to use the xbox app, I keep getting the you're stranded message. how can i fix this?

I tried that earlier and also again now and it hasn't made any difference. I have also noticed that if I try and access the General settings, I get a message saying "Looks like you're stranded.. There might be a problem with the App."

I'm up to date with 22H2

All Xbox apps are up to date and I have Xbox Console Companion app downloaded

But I still seem to be getting the same (Looks Like Your Stranded) message when clicking on the Game pass button.

I don't own game pass but I'm trying to buy it. Do I need to buy Game pass on the Website instead of the app?

getting in contact with their support to see if there's any troubleshooting they may have specified for this issue.
