I just got myself a new controller and it is unauthorised. Is there any way I can fix that...

Let me help you with your concern today. Please note that this is a public forum, I apologize for a delay in response.

I'm sorry but there is no way around this. You cannot use a controller that is not manufactured by Microsoft or another licensed Xbox hardware partner. You will need an official Xbox controller or you can get a Designed for Xbox controller which are from licensed partners.

In case the issue persists, for Elite Controllers, you can open with Microsoft an out-of-warranty repair request:

Haywood, that issue is a common defect with controllers and one I've encountered myself. After discovering there was no known fix I just had to get a new controller.

[/quote]Which is part of why I am no longer an Ambassador. After all replacing the analogue sticks in your controller is technically system tampering, so I couldn't remain part of a program where I had to tell people that they had to spend £30 on a new
controller rather than £5 on a new set of sticks.
Fixing the RRoD yourself doesn't change how the console operates in anyway. The reason Microsoft don't want you fixing it yourself? £5 vs. £62.

The label missing is also designed to cover the fastener in the cyan circle. That is one of the security features.

Yeah so if it is missing it is basically impossible for shop/manufacturer to fix the controller or there is some another way? My situation is rather hopeless because the small piece of paper just got unable to read because I was
using controller a lot and I guess sweat and other conditions affected the serial number, it fell off at some point (I remember it was moving a little one day, so the glue had to weaken or something) and now I'm here . I haven't messed around the controller
trying to fix it by myself or something. Is there any hope for me to get the product fixed? I would be the most grateful person in the entire universe to be honest if there was a way to fix the controller, those were some bad news when I heard about the shop
not accepting it for rma :/
