How to set a custom image as my Xbox background using my android?

Hello and welcome to our community!

We’re excited to have you here and have great conversations! I'd be happy to be of assistance.

I'm sorry to hear about this issue. Unfortunately, at this time, there isn't a way to change your Xbox background directly from an Android device. I tested this by uploading an image to OneDrive and checking if it could be accessed on Xbox, but Xbox only detects images stored on the console or the Xbox Network.

However, if you'd like to set a custom background, you can do so directly on your Xbox by following these steps:

    1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

    2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalisation > My Background > Custom Image > Choose Select an image from the web.

For more information, please refer to this link:

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need further assistance.

How do I put a image to use for my Xbox background on Xbox using an iPhone?

Hello, I'm Felipe and I'm an independent Community Expert, and I'll do my best to help you.

To set a custom image as your Xbox background on your Xbox using an iPhone, you'll need to follow these steps:

On your iPhone, locate the image you want to use as your Xbox background.

Upload the image to a cloud storage service such as OneDrive, Google Drive, or iCloud.

Log in to your Xbox One and go to the "Settings" menu.

    Select "Personalization," then "My background."

Choose "Custom image" as your background type.

Use your Xbox One's internet browser to go to the cloud storage service where you uploaded the image.

Download the image to your Xbox One.

Once the image has been downloaded, select it as your background in the "Custom image" menu.

Your custom image should now be set as your Xbox background.

Note: Make sure the image file format is supported by Xbox, which includes .jpg, .png, and .bmp. Also, ensure that the image file size is less than 1920x1080 pixels to prevent any distortion or resizing.

    Xbox background - personalised themes

I was able to customize my background (it's the same pic as my profile pic) by downloading the image directly to my Xbox One and then setting it as my background. I just put the image on a flash drive then plugged it into the Xbox USB and downloaded it
    to my Xbox.

Am I going to lose my Home background when the Capture changes arrive?

Hi! My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

"There's no point uploading it to OneDrive or onto an external considering Xbox doesn't have a function to take images from those as Home backgrounds"

This is not true; Xbox allows you to set a custom background using Microsoft Edge or a USB drive: https://support.xbox.com/help/account-profile/customize-xbox-home/change-xbox-one-background

To upload a customised image with a USB device:

Copy a JPG or PNG file that you want to use to a USB device, and then plug it into your Xbox. Make sure that the USB device is not formatted to be an external device for games storage.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalisation > My background > Customised image.

A dialogue box appears that shows the contents of your console and the connected USB device. Select the USB device, and then choose your image.

To upload a customised image by using Microsoft Edge:

Use the browser to find an image that you like for your Home screen background. While hovering your cursor over the image, press the Menu button, and then select Open image in new tab to make sure that the image is large enough to be a suitable background.

After you find the image that works best, press the Menu button while hovering over the large view of the image, and then select Set as background.

Please reach back if you have further questions.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

    Help?

Hello, so ive just plugged in a USB to my Xbox so i can put a custom image as my background however, when i sign into a different Xbox the image is gone. How do i fix this?
The custom image is only on the Xbox you put.

It is not something that is synchronized in nuveem, such as your avatar.
