How do I disable the cloud save function for Xbox One and Series X?

How can I disable the use of cloud saves on Xbox One and Xbox Series X games? I was pretty far into the video game Borderlands 2 until I played offline. Apparently, my console was automatically set to using cloud saves only, when it could not reach the cloud due to the lack of internet, the game created a brand new local save which had zero progress. When I reconnected my console to the internet, the cloud save was wiped as it synced with the console local save which had less progress. Where are the settings to force the game to use local saves only and not to sync data with the cloud?

I don't care about resyncing and losing my progress, I just want to know how to disable cloud syncing.

No, unfortunately, there's no way to disable cloud saves. Just like mentioned above, all progress you have is saved locally, and if you're connected to the internet, it will be synced to cloud.

In your case, since you were playing offline, your game saves were stored locally. When you reconnected to the internet and launched the game, the system may have detected multiple save versions. One from your local storage and one from the cloud. In such cases, the game usually prompts you to choose which save to load. If you accidentally selected the cloud save, it may have overwritten your offline progress.

This moderator is clearly copying and pasting old data from the Xbox One days. This troubleshoot doesn’t work on Xbox Series X or S consoles.

“Cloud saved games” isn’t an option anymore.

I can’t find how to force a cloud sync. I can’t play Starfield on my other console in another room because the data won’t sync.

What’s the point of cloud saving if it doesn’t actually save???

Hey, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REPLYING! No, I did not move the XBOX. I have fixed the issue. What was interfering was the Cloud Saves Games, so I disabled that. It would not let me update the game, however it actually downloaded the update. So, what I did,
was that I re - enabled cloud saves and moved the update to the cloud saves. It updated the game, (THANK GOD) and after that I disabled the cloud saves again. My hard drive has a lot of space on it, so I do not know why, or how, cloud saves were interfering.
Anyways, I worked out that it was cloud saves with an equation: W + X - Y * Z / L = 0FA440484 which IS THE CODE OF CLOUD SAVES. I am serious. I AM EPIC!!! Dude, thanks a lot for replying.
