I don't buy it. If Mattrick and Mehdi are disciplined about what they say on their own blogs (or Twitter, as the OP points out), or to ars technica, on the E3 floor, etc., then why can't they just start a thread here, among people who are actually verified,
paying** members of their own ecosystem? It actually smacks of cowardice.

can't answer questions fully some forum mod sure wont be able to.

I couldn't agree more with the OP's point. THIS is a place where you can verifiably track real-world Xbox consumers.

If key Microsoft entertainment division employees were more visible here -- rather than making mods and normal folks collect attributed quotes from all over the web -- then paying consumers of the Xbox ecosystem would feel more appreciated.

Imagine if Mattrick or Mehdi had come here directly for a Q&A...at least acted like they were listening to us, prior to releasing the initial bombshell about the 24 hour check-in, and the follow-up bombshell about the complete reversal! It just doesn't make
any sense to me that the Xbox leadership team thinks that going elsewhere helps them win hearts and minds.

Sure, the community would still *** and moan about things that some of us will find important and some of us won't. But it's better than Mehdi telling us through the media that the consumer comes FIRST, when that was not obvious at all. And better than being
told after the fact in the media by Mattrick that we were listened to, when there was no evidence that they cared at all until after anti-Microsoft Jimmy Fallon threw his below-the-belt punch.

Your right Egg i agree. They dont have the money yet...but they will still be counting it anyway as thought they do. Is what i mean. Nothing wrong with that when its your own money...but when its sumone elses and that sumone else is being screwed over
...its not right.
