Amazon prime video app causes display to stop working.

I'm trying to use the Amazon prime video app for my Xbox series X, When I open the app I see the Amazon logo then my TV display goes black and the TV keeps cycling the input. In my case that's HDMI 1 (1080P).

Troubleshooting I've attempted:

- The HDMI cable is properly connected.

- I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

- I've uninstalled the app. Turned off my series X, Unplugged the power, cycled the power while it's unplugged (so there is definitely no power left), Plugged my series X back in and reinstalled the app

EDIT after posting: I also allowed allow 50hz and allow 24hz in display settings. It didn't do anything.

I'm beginning to think that the app is just broken for series X but I have friends who watch it no problem. Has anyone encountered this and have a fix that doesn't include a factory reset of my console? Because it's kind of ridiculous I need to reset my entire console for a 100MB app that should just work?

I'm not 100% certain but I think it's trying to use a higher resolution than what my TV can display.

You need to contact Amazon support, as the problem is only with them, and they develop their own app

My Xbox One has stopped streaming the video the video portion of Amazon Prime Video. I have worked thru all the the trouble shooting on the xbox and amazon lists.

I checked the list and have done all they have listed. I have reset the router, factory reset the box, uninstalled and reinstalled the Amazon Prime video.

I have spent 5 hours with amazon support and 2 hours with Xbox support. I have an Xbox One and Xbox One X that have the same problem with Amazon Prime Video.

I can go into Prime Video, select a video, the video will play, I hear the audio but have a black screen.

I have tried the Xbox on two T.V.s. I tried the Amazon Prime Video on the Xbox 360 and it works.

Amazon Prime Video is worked up until 10 days ago. And is the only video app not working correctly.

Amazon Instant Video shows any films purchased through Amazon and any Amazon Prime content.

Xbox doesn't have a Prime App, rather Xbox Video which only shows films and shows purchased through Xbox Store.

If films/shows purchased from Amazon aren't showing in Amazon Instant Video app you will need to contact Amazon Customer Support to verify your purchases.

Remember, Amazon Prime content changes so they remove films/shows periodically and add new ones. Amazon Instant Video purchases remain all the time.

Did you power cycle your console by holding down the power as well? I have had this work when apps go wonky.
