I have tried connecting the console to a different tv and i got a no signal on the tv and used different hdmi cables... still had a no signal error on the tv

Since you have performed all the necessary steps and isolated the issue being the console's HDMI port or the console itself, sadly, the next step would be creating a repair order for the console.

To do so, sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/devices > add your console as a device using the serial number.

Once you have registered the console you should see the option "Start order".

I tried using different HD cables on each TV and the error still occurs, I also tried different HDMI ports on the back and it still came up with no signal but what I did realise is that when the HD cable is not plugged in the screen says 'Check signal cable'
and when I plug it back in it says 'No signal' so it must be recognizing that it's getting plugged in but the screen does not show up.

Confirm that both your TV and console are turned on

Check that your TV is set to the correct input signal (HDMI)

Check that the HDMI cable connections to your console and to your TV are secure

Confirm that the HDMI cable is connected to the "out to TV" port on the console

Plug the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV

Use a different HDMI cable to connect your console to your TV

Connect your console to a different TV

Power cycle your console by pressing and holding the Power button for 10 seconds to turn off the console, and then turning it on again
