You can change the email address associated with the account using the steps
here. That would make the whole account fall under his email address.

Sorry to hear it. If both accounts have separate emails then you simply need to log out of this one and into the other one.

If, somehow, you managed to use the same email address for both accounts then you'll need to move one to a different email address. You can do that by following the instructions at the following link.

Let me see if I can explain things for you.

Xbox Silver (free does not cost anything)- Just a regular Microsoft(MS) account with an Xbox profile attached to it. Can play single player/campaigns on games.

The following are subscriptions.

Xbox Gold- Same as silver but can play multiplayer and use the Xbox chat to chat with friends. Also eligible for games with gold.

Xbox Game Pass Console- Netflix type subscription for Xbox One that as long as you have this subscription you can play the download/install and play the games that are in the vault. Can only play the games on the Xbox One console.

Xbox Game Pass PC- Same as Xbox game pass for console But for PC only.

The three subscriptions above can be bought by themselves.

Then you have the choice of

Xbox game pass ultimate- Which is a mix of all three of the subscriptions which is the best option for your money if there are games that are in the vault that you like to play.

Now with this basically MS gives you 4 games a month for free (these are games that MS chooses you do not get to choose them)

They are 2 Original Xbox/Xbox 360 games and 2 Xbox One games.

The original/360 games are yours to keep. The Xbox One games you have to choose to get them during the promotion and as long as you have an active xbox live gold subscription (including what comes with the ultimate) you will have the license to play the
Xbox One games.

I am guessing possibly that you have just the Xbox live gold subscription which allows you to play multiplayer/chat with your friends through xbox live and get the games with gold. The games with gold are the only ones that are currently available to get
with just the regular xbox live gold.
