    My Minecraft chat is blocked due to safety and privacy settings, which I can't change...


    I'm experiencing a complete communication block in Minecraft through the browser. I cannot send or receive any chat messages. My account is locked into a family group setting, despite there being no other members in the group. This appears to be an error. As a result of this erroneous family group association, I'm unable to adjust the safety and privacy settings that are restricting my chat functionality. I have attempted to remove myself from the empty family group, but the system does not allow me to do so. I need to know how to resolve this incorrect family group association and regain control over my Minecraft chat settings via the browser.

    It has been a while since your last reply, have you contacted Mojang about this issue? Also just in case, did you get any blocks to these worlds due to a privacy issue with Realms or Worlds. Sometimes the settings on an Xbox account can block access to playing online, which you can find here: Manage Xbox online safety and privacy settings | Xbox Support.

    There is a section called: Manage settings for Mojang and Minecraft on that same page that can give instructions on how to double check you privacy settings.

    Hi there. The best advice we can give you is to mute, block, and file a complaint against this user. Unfortunatly, there are some users out there who trash talk. You may want to change your privacy settings over live to avoid future confilcts like this from
    occurring. You can change your account settings to block voice messaging and voice chat from all users not on your friends list. it's a fantastic privacy setting when you are fed up with trash talking.
